What happens after you have submitted your job application?
Application Review
Once your online application has been submitted, an industry specialist on our CST Connections recruitment team will receive and assess your application. All applications are read and acknowledged for all of the career opportunities that we list as open and available.
Evaluation & Assessments
After one of professional recruiters for your industry reviews your CV, the recruiter will determine if they would like to recommend you for a position. Before making that recommendation, one of our recruitment advisors will ask that you complete an aptitude assessment and/or a personality behavior analysis depending on the requirements of the career opportunity. Verification of references and criminal background checks are also completed during this stage. A CST Connections recruiter will always call you to get your permission to forward your resume onto the Hiring Manager of the client company that we are working with to fill a vacant position.
Interviews
Phone Interview
After reviewing the CVs of potential candidates, the Hiring Manager for the career opportunity will identify a shortlist of candidates of whom they would like to conduct a phone interview, and the Hiring Manger will forward this list to CST Connections. An industry recruitment specialist from our team will contact you to with a confirmed time for the phone interview to take place if your name is on the Hiring Manager’s shortlist.
In-Person Interview
Once the phone interviews of candidates have been completed, the Hiring Manager will notify CST Connections of the candidates that they would like to conduct a face-to-face interview. Being selected to progress from the phone interview stage to the in-person interview is an important milestone. Your CST Connections recruiter will work with you ensure that you are confidently prepared and successful in your face-to-face interview so that you can be highly considered or selected candidate of choice for the position.
Match: Offer of Employment
If you are selected candidate by our employer client, your CST Connections recruiter will contact you to provide you salary details, any important information you need to know concerning the work environment, and to discuss an agreeable commencement date. and to discuss the successful candidate, we will contact you to discuss your work conditions, salary details and a commencement date. Once you have accepted all of the terms, an official offer of employment will be made in writing to you from our client who will be your future employer.
FAQ: What if I’m not selected as the suitable candidate?
If you are not selected as the candidate of choice for the position you are seeking, we will garner as much feedback from the individual(s) with whom you did in-person interviews and will provided you constructive insight on the reasons of why you were not selected for the position. We encourage you to take this information and make any adjustments that may be needed as you continue to apply for other suitable career opportunities on the CST Connections jobs database.
